Pedro Augusto, a producer raised in Leiria who spent the last decade and a half to create and compose in Oporto as Ghuna X, confesses to have arrived “to a limbo in terms of sonorous and rhythmic exploration” and decided to start a new journey.

The musician, who already shared his talent with both Capicua and Black Bombay, didn’t want to be alone at this stage and so he asked friends and fellow musicians to work with him, exploring the Portuguese songbook.

Pedro Augusto, Ece Canli, Gonçalo Duarte and Miguel Ramos edited the first album, Toada, a collection of themes that are part of the Portuguese song’s roots, of names like José Afonso, Vitorino, GAC or Brigada Victor Jara, in a format connected to the experimental electronic, slow, dense, echoing, that knows to be soturn and also dreamy.

Rua Direita are new people with fresh spirit. The duo from Leiria composed by Donato Rosa and Paulo Ladeiras, started activity on common ground and quickly made Rua Direita the epicenter of meeting the riffs and words of one with the assertive beats of another.

The lead single “Mariana” showed how a common name can open the door to a pop universe that has both new and familiar.

When they recorded a debut album in 2013 they were far from thinking that tracks like “Escape“, “Shoes For Men With No Feet” or “Apnea” could reach international radio stations and take them on an extended tour.

The crossroads of post-rock influence with the song format that made his record an auspicious surprise was just the beginning of a journey that now has a second chapter. They recorded sounds of almost everything around them, lost themselves in the discographies of the evolution of rock and electronic music and the result is “Drifter“. This album carries the DNA of the First Breath After Coma but points out even more paths to the present and to the Future of this young formation from Leiria.

Umbrae” is the new video and it is another strong theme of the album “Drifter”. The music has the special participation of Noiserv. The Video was realized by Omnichord Records, with edition of Rui Gaspar and Telmo Soares. Rui Paixão with his project “Cão à Chuva” was responsible for the “performance” of the video
